ST. HUBERT'S SHELTER PARTNER PROGRAM

St. Hubert's received a grant to provide technical assistance and support in shelter management and operations for interested animal sheltering organizations in New Jersey. The program includes training to improve an organization's overall animal handling, housing, and disease control programs. Specifically, the following areas of animal sheltering will be included in the program:

  • animal adoption and procedure
  • animal housing and isolation
  • animal temperament evaluation
  • cleaning and sanitary procedures
  • disease control
  • document development

All participating agencies also receive an informational manual as part of their training program. This manual was prepared by St. Hubert's staff and includes articles and information on sanitation, disease control, animal behavior, and other animal related topics.

Training will be tailored to meet the various time constraints of both organizations. St. Hubert's extends an invitation to participate in this program to any interested animal shelter or humane organization in New Jersey. Please contact Jackie Fahey at (973) 377-2295 for more information.
