St. Hubert's commitment to advocacy and quality programming have enabled the organization to emerge as a leader within the animal welfare movement. St. Hubert's is recognized as a model shelter and a resource center for other local, state and national humane organizations.

St. Hubert's is the first and only shelter in New Jersey to be awarded the maximum five stars under the American Humane Association's "Standard of Excellence" evaluation program.


• St. Hubert's in 1991 earned the distinction of the country's Best All-Around Shelter," under a national program entitled, "A Salute to America's Pets" and was featured on a national prime time television special.
